My Little Girls

I'd like to introduce you to my sweet little girls! They always look their best, always pleasant, and with a smile on their face. These little girls are of course figurines called "Josef Originals".

Josef Originals figurines were produced by California artist Muriel Joseph George from the 1940's through the 80's. The figurines were originally produced in California, but production was moved to Japan in the early 60's. The figurines were mostly young women, girls, and angels.

And now, without further ado, I'd like you to meet all of my special little girls;

My Special Treasures

Some of the special pieces of the Josef Originals are rare and fetch quite a handsome price. The next two gals fit that catagory

First I'd like you to meet my favorite angel. She's a prayer reminder and also a holder for my rings. Notice the little slot above the "Pray Daily" on the hem of her skirt.

In the second picture you see the 2 pieces. The bottom piece has a space for my rings and has the days of the week around the rim. You turn the angel each day which reminds you to pray.

This little girl is from my hubby. It was my gift for our 25th annerversary!! I'll treasure it always.

My Little Pianist

This little lady is a music box. She plays the song you're hearing now. A classical piece by Dvorak called Humoresque. Unlike me she never misses a note!

My Lipstick Holder

Josef Originals made quite a few of the lipstick holders but they're pretty hard to come by with out spending a couple of hundred dollars. I was lucky to get this one for just under a hundred dollars.

My Teabag Holder

I was so blessed to find this rare little girl! It's the only one I've ever seen. She's such a good girl and funny too!!

This Is My "Cone" Monthly Collection

Many don't care for these ladies. But they are among my favorites. They are smaller than the other Josefs and don't have near the detail of the others. Still I'm drawn to them.
