The Lord has put this in heart to share with Pentecostal, Full-Gospel, Non-Denominational, and/or churches proclaiming the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, according to Act 2:4.
There is a terrible "lie" being acted out and allowed to perpetuate in "so called" Pentecostal or Full Gospel, churches. This lie is the "jerking, shirking, rolling on the floor, screaming out of control, mooing(yes, like a cow, they moo because they believe the Holy Spirit "moves" on them to do so!)and other "crazed" acts going on in in many of "Pentecostal" churches!!
This LIE includes such things as "holy laughter", being slain in the Spirit, Holy Ghost Fire, and many, many other "demonic" actions and activities seen in these churches today!!
FIRST let me let you know that I am a Pentecostal woman! Have been all my life. I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues at the age of 13. I enjoy "lively", enthusiastic, and Spirit led praise and worship in our services. I enjoy dancing, shouting a loud AMEN now and then when someone proclaims "we praise You Jesus".
There is nothing in this world more wonderful than to be joined together in Pentecostal praise and worship when the Holy Spirit blankets the congregation with His Spirit. And yes, yes we do get emotional! How could we or why would we want to "set aside" the emotions that we feel from knowing that we are a sinner saved by grace and that we're saved from an eternal hell!! That makes me excited and with my "whole being" I praise and worship my God.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is available as a second work of Grace to all Believers that would like it. He comes in His fullness with the eveidence of "speaking in tongues" and with power to equip the true believer for the jouney ahead of them. BUT, the Holy Spirit does NOT, repeat DOES NOT, "take over" a person's body and make them do "crazy stuff"!!! The Holy Spirit does all things "decently and in order"!!
It's time, past time that we stand up and say NO MORE to these wild, ungodly services. Of course we can't stop these kinds of things but we can speak up and let OUR voices be heard!! We are drowned out by all the bizarre shrieking and jerking by nothing short of imposters and at worst demonic activities!! Strong language, I know, but the truth is the truth!!
The Holy Spirit has often been referred to as the "Gentleman". He never enters where He is not totally welcome, he enjoys the praise and worship that we offer up in our unique "Charasmatic" services. And many times He is there to aid us in our praise and worship to God by releasing His Spirit upon us and yes when this happens we ARE Pentecostal and the church becomes full of the Presence of God Almighty.
What does NOT happen in an "authentic" Pentecostal service is, jerking ones body in a wild manner and bumping into things knocking seats over or breaking things. What a "real" Pentecostal service is NOT are people rolling on the floor, flailing hands and feet while screaming at the top of their lungs!! People being "flung" accross the platform or being "knocked down" when someone touches them while telling the audience that that is "fire on them"!! This "fire on them" is supposedly the Holy Sprit falling on them, making them unable to control their movements.
The people that get "taken up" with such craziness is believing in a great lie, a total put on, a sham and shame, leaving a "black mark" upon the REAL, GENUINE, Pentecostal people that live around the globe and are united by this wonderful Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues!!
Do NOT Be Taken In!
The preachers that promote this lie promise wealth, health, healing, prosperity along with mighty miracles and supernatural healings. All the while NONE of these wonderful things are really happening in these services. We see these miracle crusades that fill auditoriums with sick, hurt people that really need a touch from the Lord. But sadly they come and the only miracle is that these "peachers" aren't locked up and in jail where many of them should be and...that they draw people by the thousands and money in the millions!!!
